Gan Kim Yong (born 9 February 1959; simplified Chinese: 颜金勇; traditional Chinese: 顏金勇; pinyin: Yán Jīnyǒng; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Gân Kim-ióng) is a politician from Singapore. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is currently the country's Minister for Health.[1] He previously served as the Minister for Manpower from 2008 to 2011. He has been a Member of Parliament (MP) since 2001.

Gan began his career as a civil servant at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Home Affairs. He left the civil service for the private sector in 1989 and joined NatSteel Ltd. In 1996, he was made the Executive Vice-President of NatSteel and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NatSteel Resorts International and NatSteel Properties. In 2005, he became the President and CEO of NatSteel.
Gan was elected a Member of Parliament for the Holland-Bukit Panjang Group Representation Constituency in 2001.
In 2005, Gan was appointed a Minister of State at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Manpower.
At the 2006 general election, Gan moved to the Chua Chu Kang Single Member Constituency and defeated Steve Chia of the Singapore Democratic Alliance, winning 60.37% of the votes.
In 2008, Gan was made the Acting Minister for Manpower. He was made a full member of the Cabinet in 2009.
At the 2011 general election, Gan was part of the 5-candidate PAP team standing in the newly-formed Chua Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency (into which his former ward was subsumed). The team won the election in the constituency with 61.20% of the votes. Gan continues to represent the Chua Chu Kang ward in Parliament.
Following the general election, Gan was appointed the Minister for Health.
Gan was educated at Catholic High School and National Junior College, before going on to Cambridge University, where he completed a degree in Engineering.
Gan currently serves as an elder at the Chen Li Presbyterian Church.[2]
